With a limited budget, we decided to make the save the dates and invitations.

The save the dates were block printed from hand carved stamps. The words were Gocco printed in gold ink. We used scalloping shears to cut them out of cream card stock.

The invitations were digitally designed and printed on our Canon pro printer. The words and flower centers were Gocco printed in the same gold ink as the save the dates.

We designed a postcard RSVP and used my favorite kraft paper envelopes. I like that they are handmade and simple.

Hello! Welcome to Oh Confetti. I'm Jenn, I live in Portland, OR with my partner, Jenny, my daughter Jade, a sweet kitty named Fifi and 5 adorable, though trouble making hens.

Jenny and I are getting married in September and I thought this would be a great place to share the preparations and party plans. Since we're going to have a private ceremony and a reception afterwards, it's really just going to be a big, fancy party! Hooray!

We fell in love with the Oh Happy Day! marquee letters tutorial. Actually I'm in love with all of the tutorials on that blog. My goodness, what a passion for crepe and tissue paper! We decided to make the letters J & J and paint them to match the wedding colors. These will definitely become a permanent addition to the house after the wedding as well.

I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. They aren't perfect, but I like that.

These were quite easy to make. We didn't follow the tutorial exactly. Here's what we did differently:
Instead of foam core, we used 1/4" plywood that we had on hand. The wood gives a nice texture and is more sustainable than foam core. It's also more durable

The bulbs are the same ones linked to on the Oh Happy Day! blog, from Target. The clear bulbs are really bright and I think we are going to exchange them for the frosted bulbs. That should help a bit with the brightness. These are 5 watt bulbs which I believe is the lowest wattage available in the globe lights.

We used the Montana Gold brand spray paint which comes in hundreds of dreamy colors. We used Shrimp and Banana Joe. This paint was a delight to use. I will never use Krylon again.

Overall, this was a fun and easy project and took about 4-6 hours total.
